A FEW WORDS FROM BARBARA J. DALEY
“Journaling: Inspiration is everywhere”
For Starters
• Go outside, look around... what delights you?
• Go inside. Feel around... what is going on in you right now?
• What makes you smile?
• What are a "few of your favourite things"?
• Write out today’s "To BE" list.
• Write out today’s "To DO" list, include several gratuitous chores, like "wake up," "drink coffee," just to get some momentum rolling!
• Use up some paint to make a wash of anykind.
• Cut up paintings you don’t want, and design small abstract compositions.
• Choose a line symbol and see where it leads.
• Glue down an image, and extend it with drawing.
• "Ask yourself a question" and see what "marvelous answer" (Rumi) appears.
• Copy out a favourite poem. Don’t HAVE one???? Go to the library, and check some out! May I suggest Mary Oliver?
